The Peach & The Pig is a Seattle area food truck and catering company launched in 2015 by owner and executive chef Nate Allen. Our menus feature fresh seasonal and in house preserved foods that draws from both traditional and new American cuisine. Our goal is to provide you with high quality food and service that is creative, fun, and delicious.
Nate has been part of the Seattle area catering scene since 2007. Originally from New England, he moved to Seattle for graduate school and the mountains. During his 15 year research science career he also worked part time in the restaurant and catering industries. Through this work he developed his skills in food craftsmanship, bartending, and general hospitality service. He also developed a passion for the industry and a dream to build a food service business for his family.
In 2011 Nate left the science labs of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program at South Seattle College. Following culinary school he worked at The Palisade Restaurant in Seattle and Brass Tacks, a gastropub in Georgetown.
At The Peach & The Pig we take pride in serving quality crafted food and providing attentive personal service. We love the creative nature of this work and the positive effect that we can have on people. Chef Nate enjoys featuring house smoked meats and fish, fresh seasonal produce, and house made condiments, pickles and preserves. We are currently developing relationships with local farmers, ranchers and fisherman to ensure responsible sourcing of the seasonal produce and locally sourced meats.
